Developers of UTILITYSAFE™ now a Member of APPA

Atlanta-based e-VERIFILE Joins the American Public Power Association; Launches Outreach Program Promoting UTILITYSAFE™ to APPA Members.

ATLANTA – October 7, 2011 -e-VERIFILE.COM Inc., is pleased to announce that it has joined the American Public Power Association (APPA). APPA consists of more than 2,000 U.S. community-owned electric utilities that serve more than 46 million Americans. As an APPA corporate associate member, e-VERIFILE hopes to build strong relationships with the industry while expanding its UTILITYSAFE™ service.

Launched in 2010, UTILITYSAFE™ facilitates routine administrative tasks associated with Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). The service is also designed to help minimize liabilities arising from negligent hiring, supervision and training and can be helpful in meeting NERC-CIP 004 requirements as per the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.

In addition to critical infrastructure protection and compliance management, UTILITYSAFE™ also provides personnel background checks, custom online training/testing, Access Credentialing Management, and more. The entire process is managed from one web-based platform and all user activities are documented in the system for future compliance audits. The service requires no additional software or equipment and can be securely accessed from any PC.

e-VERIFLE’s membership in APPA marks the beginning of a rigorous communications campaign to promote the UTILITYSAFE™ service. The company hopes to reach out to hundreds of APPA members via direct mail and outreach calls over the coming weeks.
